LIberated

I feel like the hydrogen gas formed when an alcohol is reacted with a piece of sodium metal, when phenol reactes with aqueous sodium hydroxide, and when a carboxylic acid reacts with aqueous sodium carbonate.

LIBERATED!!!

Editted to add: To my horror, I just realise immediately after my Chemistry exam, I forgot all my Chemistry concepts... Phenol does not liberate hydrogen gas upon reaction with sodium hydroxide. Neither will a carboxylic acid liberate hydrogen gas upon reaction with sodium carbonate.
