Shopping

Oh dear, I am following my parents' footsteps of becoming a shopping addict.

I am loving shopping more and more.

Not window shopping though, window shopping is like 点到嘴角的甜味一样,只不过短暂的快乐,根本就满足不了食欲。

When I shop, I HAVE to make a purchase. The protocol that many adopt when they go shopping is:

1. I See.

2. I 爽

3. I Leave

Loop and Repeat Cycle..

My protocol, however, has one addtional step:

1. I See.

2. I BUY!!!

3. I 爽

4. I Leave

Loop and Repeat Cycle..

I feel like a squanderer, like a 挥金如土的败家子。

But seriously, I just cannot imagine what is the feeling like to not be able to possess what you really want or what you have always dreamt of/yearned for/longed for.

I admit, I am possesive. I need to own what I want.

Shopping is just a process for me to identify my needs and wants. Buying them would then satisfy my desires.

If not, an unsatisfied man would become an angry man.

Speaking of which, I was a happy man on Sunday.

I bought myself a new MYUK wallet that says that I'm hot (for $29.00), a pair of black Professional Crocs that can be passed off as normal working shoes with proper and appropriate cover-up (for $62.95). Next on Monday, I went to buy gifts for Kay SIong and Ying Cheng, but I just could not resist the offer that the shop keeper made, and I ended up buying gifts for future birthdays, saving the extra hassle I may need to make to buy presents in future.

Not that the offer is a onc-in-a-lifetime type of fabulous deal, but the thought of saving a couple of bucks is enough to make my day. =)

(Total amount spent on gifts: Secret! Shhhh....)

After which, I accompanied Jun Quan for his shopping of gifts for his friend. We considered buying a purple jacket (that's tailored for women), bikinis with colourful stripes on it (yes, his friend has XY chromosomes), board shorts, protein powder, plush toys, and a ultra-cute silicon-filled multi-purpose ball that can be used as a stress ball or paper weight, or in my case, breast implants. He eventually settled on a pair of black flip-flops with orange graffiti from Ocean Pacific.

It's always rocket science for guys to buy gifts for guys. But then again, I made this task look like counting from 1 to 10 because all I took to settle the gifts was 10 minutes flat.

I think Jun Quan took like more than 1 1/2 hours?

Anyways, I am hooked on to shopping already.. Just like how I was hooked on to coffee during the LEP camp. I guess more wades of dollar notes will flow out of my newly-bought MYUK wallet for the rest of this June holidays.
