2nd Anniversary

On Friday, 13th October 2006, my blog turned two years old.

MAF

Never really celebrated Mid-Autumn Festival before. After all, the Singaporean society does not really value it, apart from acknowledging the fact that the event is a great business opportunity for people to sell mooncakes and lanterns.

For once, Mid-Autumn Festival has got a whole new meaning to me. It means lots of hardwork, gallons of sweat and tears, weekends toiled away on the preparation for an event expecting a crowd of 3,000 and loads of fulfilment and accomplishment when you witnessed the success of the event.

I finally understand the meaning of "you reap what you sow".

All the nights of staying back until midnight and all the frustrations of getting the right dimensions of the centrepiece and to get all the light bulbs properly lit finally paid off when we managed to get everything right on D-Day itself.

Even though I was only involved in making the fireball for the event, seeing how smoothly things for other committees went also gave me a sense of accomplishment.

Wow.

I feel enriched.

20 Random Things

One. Think of 15 short bits of interesting stuff about yourself. And they've gotta be true.
Two. Come up with 5 false statements regarding yourself, but for fun's sake keep them in the threshold of believability.
Three. Jumble them all up together and list them in any order.
Four. Post them on your blog and let people guess which the five false ones are!
Five. Get 5 others to do the same
