Cheer I/C Part II

I just went for ECACO auditions.

I tried for the post of Song I/C, and after the solo singing I pretty much know that I won't make it. I was kinda disappointed after the audition because I knew I did not perform my best. My voice was super shaky, though pitching-wise I think I am "on track".

Then, I tried for Cheer I/C and the result was satisfying. I gave my best and cheered all my heart and lungs out. It was indeed surprising and extremely happy to hear from Jamie, the current Cheer I/C, and Qin Pei that I have a loud voice......

To think that I am one of the softest during "vocal opening" (开声) for Huang Cheng rehersals....

Anyways, my point is that, my chances of becoming the next Cheer I/C are high. I just pray that everything will go smoothly for me...

Cheer I/C

I certainly did not expect this to happen......

But, I just realise I LOVE cheering!

From a cynical person who always try his best to avoid going down to competition venues to support our very own school team, to someone who would cheer his hearts and lungs out during ALL competitions and feel that cheering is his calling and he should answer that.

Me becoming Hwa Chong 33rd's Cheer I/C. What do you guys think?

My application for the LEP Scholarship was not successful.

As expected. Screwed up my interview, what else more can I say?

*********************************************

I was voted into the 33rd Hwa Chong Students' Council.

Kinda expected it as well, considering that they are choosing 10 out of 17 for my faculty (Athena). Chances are undoubtedly high. At least I think that my chances are high cause I think that I did well for the QnA session.

Felt nothing by my loss and my gain. I don't know why. Give me some time to figure out my feelings...

April's Fool

It wasn't until when there was only about 4 hours left for the 1st of April did it occur to me that it is April's Fool that day.

Most of the day was spent travelling around Singapore as part of the programme for the LEP Orientation.

Innocent as it might sound, the orientation had us all deceived when we were supposed to search for a shop with a flavour from the 60's which sells egg tarts(蛋挞), carrot cake(萝卜糕) and yuan yang(鸳鸯), which I presume is a type of drink in which you mix coffee with tea in condensed milk (咖啡 + 奶茶).

Of course, to the horror of those who had this prior knowledge, yuan yang was found to be a type of pastry, in which the fillings consist of lotus paste, red bean paste and salted egg yolk.

And the horror of all horrors was that the shop that we were supposed to look for apparently don't have egg tarts and carrot cake on its menu.

-_-||

The best April's Fool joke I've ever received, and probably the best April Fool's joke that has successfully fooled so many of us.

Anyways, after the entire event, I was desperate to play a trick on someone. Thus, i logged on to MSN and started spreading my love to everyone by saying "I Love You" to each and everyone that is online in my contact list.

Not even my maternal cousin was spared.

Of course he got traumatised. Can you imagine incest? Hahahahahha....

Xiao Ying from my senior class got a shock as well.

Though I have managed to fooled two, the rest were nonchalant about it. I guessed they realised that that day was April Fool's earlier than I did.

I decided that saying "I Love You" to people would make it too obvious that I am merely making a prank on them. So I changed my lines to "Hey, do you know that there is no school on Monday?" and "Hey, do you know that Sunday's Campus Superstar is cancelled?"

But those who received this message were cleverer than I had initially assumed.

Plan B.

But plan B was only carried out to 2 persons as I was too tired typing all of the above-mentioned tricks to everyone on my contact list. (I've tried copy-and-paste, but hey! Even pushing the keys Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V requires some amount of effort...)

But the two that I played the trick on fell for it.

Basically, if you played a trick on them, and then you play the second trick, they would usually not think that there would be a second trick.

So they would naturally fall for the 2nd trick, regardless how successful your first trick was.

To Juan Boon, I said that Wei Xin had badmouthed him and accusing Wei Xin. :P

To Boon Han, I started off by saing that Paula told me that she finds him cute. :p

The above statements are completely, absolutely, totally ficticious. Absurd and ridiculous.

But the point is, I have managed to fooled 4 persons during this year's April's Fool. Woo~hoo!!!

Campus Superstar Grand Finals!

OH MY GOD!

I still can't believe that Chee Yang actually beat Renfred, and eventually moved on and win the whole competition to become Singapore's first-ever Campus Superstar in history.

I am glad that my 38 SMS votes didn't go down the drain.
